LAST PART OF U.S. ARMS SHIPMENT LEAVES FOR BOSNIAN FEDERATION

PLOCE, Dec 11 (Hina) - The last part of a US arms shipment for the Bosnian Federation army was dispatched by train on Wednesday from the southern Croatian port of Ploce to Hadzici, about 30 km southwest of Sarajevo. The $100 million worth arms shipment arrived in Ploce aboard the American Condor ship late last month as part of the Train and Equip programme. During the last 14 days, 45 tanks, 80 armoured carriers and other weapons and military hardware weighing about 4,000 tonnes were transferred by train. The Ploce-Mostar-Sarajevo railway was opened to cargo traffic after a five-year break for the transport of the weapons.
