SARAJEVO, Nov 20 (Hina) - The Bosnian Serb armed force on Wednesday
should begin to destroy their weapons for the second time. They are
expected to destroy the weapons under the Vienna agreement on the
arms control in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,
and the Republic of Croatia. The pact envisages that Bosnian Serb
will reduce their weapons to 60 percent of quantity they have
currently.
A spokesman for the Organization for Security and Cooperation
(OSCE) mission in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo said that three
countries should reduce their weaponry by 40 percent by December 1,
1996, in line with the Vienna agreement. Spokesman Johan Verhayden
added that the deadline would not likely to be met.
According to him, Bosnian Serbs will destroy weapons by
December 20 in the military barracks of Kozara in Banja Luka and in
Karakaja. The arms destruction will be overseen by representatives
of the governments of the Republic of Croatia and of the Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia, as well as by two British IFOR officers.
