SARAJEVO, Nov 23 (Hina) - The chief of international police in the
southern Serb-controlled Bosnian town of Nevesinje and his
interpreter were attacked by an unknown assailant on Friday night,
a UN spokesman said in Sarajevo on Saturday.
A hand grenade was thrown into their car as they travelled
from Nevesinje to Mostar. The incident occurred close to the
boundary between the Serb and Moslem-Croat entities, UN spokesman
Alexander Ivanko said.
The explosion damaged the vehicle but the police officer,
whose name was not revealed, and the interpreter were not injured.
Ivanko said that an investigation was under way.
