BOSNIAN MOSLEM AND CROAT SPECIAL POLICE FORCES TO BE DISBANDED

MOSTAR, Nov 15 (Hina) - The Bosnian Federation's Interior Ministry and the International Police Task Force (IPTF) have agreed that all Croat and Moslem special police forces have to be disbanded, the IPTF commander for the Mostar area, Frank Sarver, said on Friday. Sarver told a news conference that he expected the Croat special police in west Mostar to take off their uniforms on Friday and start integrating into the local police forces. Croat special police were aware that IFOR troops could take them into custody and seize their weapons if seen in the street, Server said. He said that the agreement on disbanding the special police forces in the Croat-Moslem Federation had been reached in Sarajevo on Thursday by Federation Interior Minister Avdo Hebib, his deputy Jozo Leutar and IPTF deputy chief Robert Wasserman.
