continued their discussion on the establishment of the Council of
Ministers at today's session in Sarajevo. However, despite demands
by the international community, they failed to reach agreement on
this question. #L#
A statement, released after the session, said that the
discussion on this problem would continue at the next meeting of
the Presidency.
Mirza Hajric, advisor to President Alija Izetbegovic, told
reporters that the Serb representative Momcilo Krajisnik had
insisted on his request that the Council of Ministers should have
less members than had been proposed by the Bosniac and Croat sides
and the Office of the high international peace mediator Carl Bildt.
Hajric also said that this problem would probably be dealt
with at the next conference on the implementation of Bosnia peace
agreement, which is to be held in Paris.
At today's session, the Presidency members agreed on a joint
platform for the Paris conference. However, the Presidency
statement did not specify whether Izetbegovic, Zubak and Krajisnik
will present their views on issues they cannot agree on.
The Presidency members today ordered authorised bodies to
establish phone links between state officials in both entities and
asked for the continuation of works aimed at establishing links
between the two entities.
