ZAGREB, Oct 17 (Hina) - The Croatian Government on Thursday sent a
bill on political and social associations to Parliament for
consideration.
In explanation of the bill, Administration Minister Davorin
Mlakar said that the socially-owned real estate, used by socio-
political organizations during Communist rule, would first become
the ownership of the state and within one year from the entry into
force of this bill and under criteria set by Parliament, it would
be destributed to successor associations.
The Government accepted a proposal that the associations of
ethnic and national minorities should be granted the right of
succession to the real estate that had previously used. Among them
were the Serb cultural society "Prosvjeta" and the real estate of
the Italian minority.
Tourism Minister Niko Bulic said that Croatia was expecting
between nine and ten billion kuna in tourist revenues this year,
adding that up to 13 billion kuna could be expected next year.
