ZAGREB, 17 Oct (Hina) - The House of Representatives on Thursday ended a discussion on the Final Bill on Government authority in regulating certain issues which are under House of Representatives jurisdiction. The lower house also
concluded a discussion on the Final Bill on amendments to the Law on Organisation and Jurisdiction of Ministries and State Administrative Organisations, which is in the third reading.
ZAGREB, 17 Oct (Hina) - The House of Representatives on Thursday
ended a discussion on the Final Bill on Government authority in
regulating certain issues which are under House of Representatives
jurisdiction. The lower house also concluded a discussion on the
Final Bill on amendments to the Law on Organisation and
Jurisdiction of Ministries and State Administrative Organisations,
which is in the third reading. #L#
The Legislation Committee proposed several amendments to the
bill on the organisation of state administration, Vice Premier
Ljerka Mintas-Hodak said. The government accepted the proposals,
Mintas-Hodak said, adding that it would consider the amendment on
the functioning of the Press Office.
According to one of the amendments, proposed by the
Legislation Committee, the State Administration for Stock Piles
would become part of the Economy Ministry.
A representative of the Government Legislation Office, Marijan
Prus, said that Parliament should authorize the government to
regulate questions concerning the current economic policy, except
for state budget and tax regulations.
Today's session of the lower house was held without opposition
representatives. Representatives of opposition benches yesterday
announced to boycott the work of the 12th session, except for those
discussions which will be broadcast live by Croatian radio and
television.
