INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON HISTORY OF JEWS IN CRO BEGINS IN DUBRO

DUBRO $ VNIK DUBROVNIK, Oct 8 (Hina) - An international conference on the history of Jews on the Adriatic's east coast until 1808 began on Tuesday in the south Croatian coastal town of Dubrovnik. The conference is organized by the University of Zagreb, under the auspices of UNESCO's general manager Federic Mayor. A complete history of Jews on Croatia's territory has not been written yet and the discovery of new "pages" will be a step towards its synthesis, president of the Coordination of Jewish municipalities in Croatia Ognjen Kraus said at the beginning of the conference.
