SARAJEVO, 5 Oct (Hina/HABENA) - 'Since we have not received any guarantees that the vital interests of Bosnian Croats in Sarajevo will be protected nor that Croat representatives will have any influence on decision-making, we do not
want to participate in the work of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly until adequate conditions are created', a statement from the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Municipal Committee in Sarajevo said, explaining the decision of HDZ representatives not to take part in today's constituent session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly.

Sarajevo is the capital of the Croat-Muslim Federation and
Bosnia-Herzegovina and the equality of all its citizens, regardless
of their number, is of utmost importance. HDZ representatives want
the city to be organised in such a way that will guarantee equality
of all ethnic groups, the statement said.
