SARAJEVO, Sept 20 (Hina) - Spokesman for Carl Bildt's office,
Michael McLay, on Friday rejected a suggestion that Bosnian
Presidency members take their turn as Presidents of the Presidency
in the first two-year mandate.
"The Dayton Agreement is clear on that point - it says that
the person who wins the most votes will be President of the
Presidency in the first mandate," McLay told a Sarajevo news
conference.
The Presidency was expected to hold the first session as soon
as the official results are released next week. The session may be
postponed because of Izetbegovic's trip to New York to attend the
UN General Assembly, but will surely be held immediately upon his
return to Bosnia-Herzegovina, McLay said.
Members have agreed in writing to hold the first session in
Sarajevo, McLay said.
He rejected Krajisnik's suggestion, voiced at a press
confernce yesterday, that the session be held at the entity
boundary in the Dobrinja neighbourhood.
"The entity boundary is not what we consider as Sarajevo. The
session should be held downtown," he said.
