DRNIŠ, 10 September (Hina) - On Tuesday the Government commission
for detainess and missing persons started exhumating Croatian
soldiers and civilians that had been killed during the four year
long Serb occupation of the area. Present at the exhumaton are
representatives of the Interior, Defence, Health and Justice
ministries, EU monitors and relatives of the diseased.
Commissioner Marko Miloš told Hina that by Saturday the
commission would disinter 28 bodies in the areas of Drniš and
Šibenik. The bodies are identified on the spot by a forensic team
from Split. According to the Šibenik police department, in the
areas covered by the exhumation there are another 105 bodies
whose location is known to the authorities.
