ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - The Republic of Croatia and the Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) on Monday exchanged notes in Zagreb
and Belgrade and, on the basis of Article 3 of the Agreement on the
Normalization of Relations Between the Republic of Croatia and FRY,
established full diplomatic and consular relations, and elevated
the existing missions to the level of embassies, the Croatian
Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The leader of the FRY Bureau in Croatia Veljko Knezevic handed
the note to Deputy Croatian Foreign Minister Ivan Simonovic in
Zagreb, while in Belgrade, the leader of the Croatian Bureau
Zvonimir Markovic handed the note to Deputy Yugoslav Foreign
Minister Radoslav Bulajic.
