SARAJEVO, Sept 6 (Hina) - According to data of the Mission of the
Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, almost 63 per cent of Bosnian refugees, who
registered to vote abroad, had until today filled in ballots and
sent them by post, OSCE spokeswoman Agota Cuperman said in Sarajevo
on Friday.
The electoral turnout in Croatia was 76 per cent, in
Yugoslavia 70 per cent, while the biggest turnout was in Finland
with 92 per cent of voters.
Cuperman today confirmed that the OSCE Mission had been
informed about the incidents which had taken place at a Wednesday
election rally of the Serbian Democratic Party in the Serb-
controlled part of the Sarajevo district of Dobrinja.
That rally saw Serb leaders Biljana Plavsic and Momcilo
Krajisnik and most party lists' heads remind the gathered of
Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic, pointing them out as heroes.
There were also many posters featuring Karadzic, supposed to have
been circulated by the organizers of the rally.
The Electoral Appellate Commission already started an
investigation at the request of the Party of Democratic Action. If
it is determined that election rules and regulations were violated
at that rally, the Commission is authorized to remove persons
responsible for such actions from candidate lists. The final
decision is expected on 10 September.
