ZAGREB, Sept 5 (Hina) - The export of the City of Zagreb reached
the amount of USD 863.53 million in the first six months of 1996,
which is 10.9 per cent more than in the same period last year. The
import on the other hand, according to data of the City Bureau for
the Planning of Environment Development and Protection, amounted to
USD 1.97 billion, i.e. 3.1 per cent less than year.
USD 852.82 million, i.e. 98.7 per cent of the whole export
covers export to countries with convertible currencies, which is
13.1 per cent more than in the same period last year, while import
from those markets reached USD 1.96 billion, i.e. 2.8 per cent less
than in the first half of 1995.
