ZAGREB, Sept 4 (Hina) - Children of killed Croatian soldiers from
Zagreb are to receive financial aid from the Zagreb city
authorities.
Assistant head of the Zagreb Office for education, culture and
science, Zlatko Kackov, said at Wednesday's news conference that
the Zagreb city authorities had authorized the payment of 1.916,400
kunas (about 538,000 German marks) from the current budgetary
reserve for 1996.
According to incomplete information of the Zagreb Office for
education, culture and science, some 516 children should receive
the financial aid, 135 of them were pre-school children, 279
attended primary schools, 90 attended secondary schools and 12 were
students, Kackov said.
According to the resolution on conditions for the use of the
aid, children in kindergarten would receive 200 kunas monthly (56
DM). The constant financial aid for children in primary schools
will amount to 400 kunas a month (112 DM), children in secondary
schools will get 600 kunas monthly (168 DM) and the constant
financial aid to students will amount to 700 (197 DM) monthly.
