SARAJEVO, Aug 2 (Hina) - International police task force spokesman
Patrick Swenson on Friday said that two incidents had taken place
near Sarajevo on Thursday when residents had stopped three Serbs
from visiting their former houses. #L#
the first incident happened in Vogosca when a larger number of
Moslems prevented a Serb from entering his former house. He was
accompanied by international police. The Moslems stoned a vehicle
with UN insignia.
In another Sarajevo suburb, Ilijas, people surrounded a taxi
cab with two Serbs, preventing them from passing.
Swenson said that the federal police had reacted quickly in
both cases and prevented serious repercussions.
UNHCR spokesman Kris Janowski said that the Bosnian Serb
police had maltreated a UNTAES bus driver who had been driving on
the Mostar-Nemesin road.
Another bus had been stopped and surrounded by Croats on the
road between Banja Luka and Glamoc after the bus had passed onto
the territory of the Bosnian Federation, Janowski said.
