SARAJEVO, May 27 (Hina) - The International Federation of the Red
Cross and the Red Crescent on Monday asked additional means in
order to give necessary assistance to refugees from the region of
former Yugoslavia.
ICRC spokesman Claes Amundsen on Monday said that for the care
for refugees and their return additional 65 million Swiss francs
were necessary, out of which almost 19 million was to be set apart
for Bosnian refugees. #L#
Amundsen said that local Red Cross organizations of both
entities are to get the help.
The ICRC plans 17 million francs to be donated to refugees in
Croatia, 28 million in Yugoslavia, Macedonia would get some 850,000
francs and Slovenia 450,000 francs.
Some 18 million francs would be set aside as assistance for
refugees who are accommodated in Hungary.
