ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan
Simonovic met in Zagreb on Monday with the Political Director of
Luxembourg's Foreign Ministry, Jean Feyder, a Croatian Foreign
Ministry statement said.
During the hour-long talks, Simonovic informed his guest about
the most important objectives of Croatian foreign policy, stressing
firm support for the Bosnian Federation and its linking to Croatia.
Feyder said that the European Union attached great importance
to the implementation of the peace agreement in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and the normalization of relations between countries in the region.
Feyder emphasised the positive role and cooperativeness of
Croatia in the process which had brought about a settlement to the
crisis in the former Yugoslavia.
The European Union did not want to impose a new form of
regional association but wanted to help in restoration of economic,
traffic and other ties important for the normal functioning of
every country in the region, Feyder said.
Feyder delivered a letter from Luxembourg Foreign Minister
Jacques Poos to Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic in which he
accepted an invitation to visit Croatia.
