SARAJEVO, May 24 (Hina) - Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) officials said in Sarajevo on Friday
that an agreement on military stability and arms control in
Bosnia was being implemented successfully and that Federation and
Serb military representatives had shown readiness for full
cooperation.
Hungarian diplomat Martin Kasnai, who arrived in Sarajevo in
his capacity as a personal envoy of the OSCE president, told
reporters that he expected additional confidence-building
measures to be taken after the successful exchange of information
on weapons, military forces and their deployment.
The military commands of the Croat-Moslem Federation and the
Serb entity would soon establish direct links and exchange
liaison officers, Kasnai said.
The OSCE official said that military stability in the
region, which was currently being discussed in Vienna, could be
crucial for political developments.
Before arrival in Sarajevo, Kasnai had met for talks with
Bosnian Serb officials at Pale.
