ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - President Tudjman's chief-of-staff Ivo
Sanader today received representatives of the Federation of
Invalids, the President's office said on Wednesday in a statement.
Following is the full text of the statement:
"Federation president Zorislav Bobus expressed gratitude for
the President's patronage over a recent panel on the handicapped.
He also informed Sanader of the Federation's initiatives to
facilitate the social integration of invalids.
Sanader supported an initiative to elaborate a "National
Program" for invalids, launched jointly by the Federation and the
Association of Homeland War Invalids.
He welcomed a recently implemented initiative to facilitate
the movement of handicapped people on the Zagreb streets, which is
soon to be implemented in other Croatian towns.
"Now that a greater part of the homeland has been liberated
and the reintegration of the Danubian area is under way, we will
have more time and funds to resolve invalids' problems," Sanader
said, adding that Croatia planned to introduce the highest
standards in the care of invalids.
Also present was the President's advisor on humanitarian
activities, Slobodan Lang.
The Federation's delegation included Mandica Knezevic, Jasenka
Miholic-Rukavina i Marica Miric."
