ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) - The Croatian president's chief of staff,
Ivo Sanader, on Friday received Chieko Nohno, a member of the
Japanese Parliament's upper house and secretary general of the
Japan-Croatia League, the President's Office said in a statement.
Sanader informed the guest about the main guidelines of
Croatian foreign policy and thanked her for her efforts in
establishing cooperation between Japan and Croatia, particularly
at humanitarian level.
Nohno, who is also president of the Tokyo-Zagreb
humanitarian association, expressed satisfaction with the
restoration of peace in the region and Croatian efforts to
implement all agreements aimed at achieving full normalization
and lasting peace.
Sanader and Nohno stressed the need for strengthening
economic cooperation between Japan and Croatia, the statement
concluded.
