ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian
Parliament's human and minority rights committee, Miroslav Kis,
on Friday sent a letter to the UN transitional administrator in
the remaining Serb-occupied areas of eastern Croatia, US General
Jacques Klein, urging him to focus his attetion on the problem of
detainees and missing persons.
"The fate of detained and missing persons, despite all efforts
so far undertaken by the Croatian government and associations for
prisoners of war and missing persons, is still unknown," the
letter said.
Kis stressed the need for urgent establishment of a regional
human rights centre in the town of Vukovar.
