SARAJEVO, April 24 (Hina) - The Prime Minister of the Republic of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hasan Muratovic, on Wednesday said that the
financial aid the United States intended to give for the
reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina would start coming in the next
three or four weeks.
"The expected help of $80 million is based on credits for
entrepreneurs", Muratovic told reporters after his talks with
William Montgomery, special advisor to U.S. President Bill Clinton
for the implementation of the Bosnian peace agreement.
Bosnia-Herzegovina could soon expect financial aid from the
United States for the revival of agricultural production and
construction of a road to Gorazde via a corridor which was
determined by Dayton maps.
Montgomery told reporters that the two sides agreed that
the project of the reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina should
begin as soon as possible. A special bilateral contract on
cooperation between Bosnia-Herzegovina and the U.S.A. should be
signed next week, Montgomery said, adding he hoped that concrete
results would be evident in a few months.
