SARAJEVO, April 13 (Hina) - Michael Steiner, deputy peace
coordinator for Bosnia-Herzegovina, met senior Bosnian Croat and
Moslem officials in Sarajevo on Saturday to discuss the process
of establishing transitional municipal authorities in Stolac,
Travnik, Bugojno and Jajce.
"We haven't made progress that I wished but the process will
continue because a solution to the four municipalities must be
found," Steiner told reporters after the meeting which involved
Federation president Kresimir Zubak, his deputy Ejup Ganic,
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ B-H) president Bozo Rajic,
Democratic Action Party (SDA) president Edhem Bicakic and leaders
of the four municipalities.
Steiner warned that federal partners would be held
responsible if legal authority failed to be established in the
four muncipalities in line with the Sarajevo agreement.
However, Steiner said that Croat and Moslem officials showed
willingness to remove obstacles to the settlement but that
statements were not enough and what had been agreed must be
implemented.
