TUZLA, March 8 (Hina) - Over two thousand women refugees from
Srebrenica gathered Friday outside the UNHCR and International Red
Cross buildings in Tuzla (north-eastern Bosnia) demanding that
something be done to locate their menfolk that never made it out of
Srebrenica after its fall into Serb hands.
"We understand these women and our priority is to gather data
about missing people from Srebrenica," Red Cross representative
Laurent Fellay said.
"So far, we have filed data on 200 people, and one person has
been released," he said.
"We have also set up a task group to locate them," he said.
According to UNHCR representative Neven Luledzija, UNHCR could
do nothing because finding missing persons was the job of the Red
Cross. UNHCR was helping by providing financial assistance to
refugees.
