ZAGREB, Feb 16 (Hina) - A UN helicopter on a reconnaissance
mission over eastern Croatia was shot at on Thursday afternoon, a
UN spokesman in Zagreb said on Friday.
The incident, described by the spokesman as minor, occurred
around 13.00 hours near the line of separation between the
Croatian army and rebel Serb forces in the occupied Danubian
region of eastern Croatia.
The helicopter received two rounds but none of its crew was
injured. The UN estimated that fire had been opened from the
Croatian side.
The UN informed a Croatian army liaison officer about the
incident on Thursday evening, the spokesman said.
