TUZLA, Feb 2 (Hina) - Representatives of Srebrenica refugees today
left Tuzla for Sarajevo to try and enlist the help of President
Alija Izetbegovic in tracing 10,000 Srebrenica men reported missing
after the occupation of that Moslem enclave by Serb troops in July
1995.
Srebrenica women have been gathering outside the International
Red Cross building in Tuzla for five days, protesting against the
inefficiency of the international community in gathering facts
about the missing men.
Today, the women have also staged a rally outside the Tuzla
canton government building, demanding that a government
representative receive their delegation.
After four hours of fruitless waiting, the women attempted to
break into the building, but were stopped by police. The women
vented their anger by throwing stones at windows and doors but did
not go away.
