BUSOVACA, Dec 20 (Hina) - Unidentified persons threw an explosive
device on a NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) base in the central
Bosnian town of Busovaca at 19.10 hours Friday, injuring two Dutch
soldiers.
Dutch SFOR officers on Saturday met Croat authorities of Busovaca
and representatives of the cantonal and federal interior
ministries to discuss the incident.
Meanwhile, the Busovaca branch of the leading Bosnian Croat
political party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), said in a
statement on Saturday that the Dutch officers had agreed that the
incident had not been caused by an organised rebellion of the Croat
population, but by irrational individuals.
"Incidents such as the one in Busovaca last night are not and cannot
be in the interest of the Croat population of the Lasva valley and
the whole of central Bosnia," the HDZ said.
