VIENNA, 15 Dec (Hina) - Croatia was included into a group of states
which have advanced to the so-called 'white list' at a session of
the Executive Committee of countries signatory to the Schengen
agreement, held in Vienna on Monday.
This means that as of 1 January 1999 Croatian citizens will no
longer need visas for any of the countries which are applying the
Schengen agreement.
Participants in today's session agreed on stricter measures of
control at the outer borders of Italy and Greece, especially
because of illegal immigration of Iraqi citizens.
