SARAJEVO, Nov 28 (Hina) - A high ranking Croatian delegation headed
by Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa and Foreign Minister Mate Granic
arrived in Sarajevo on Friday where they will take part in a two-day
conference of Central European Initiative (CEI) member countries.
Upon arrival at the Sarajevo airport, Matesa and Granic held talks
with the highest ranking officials of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Matesa is also expected to hold talks with prime ministers of
Slovenia, Austria, Belarus and Ukraine.
Granic will attend an informal meeting of CEI member countries'
foreign ministers.
At the summit of the CEI, which is to be chaired by Croatia next
year, a discussion is to take place on the role of this organisation
in the strengthening of human rights and democracy, the situation
in Bosnia-Herzegovina and European integration processes.
At the plenary session on Saturday, participants are expected to
adopt a document entitled the "Sarajevo Declaration" which should
present a CEI development strategy in the 21st century.
The summit will also be attended by delegations of the European
Union, Council of Europe, OSCE, European Reconstruction and
Development Bank, European Investment Bank, South East European
Cooperative initiative (SECI) and regional groups of Baltic and
Black Sea countries.
