ZAGREB, 21 Nov (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges
received the Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Javad Asayesh Zarchi for a
working visit on Friday, the Economy Ministry said in a statement.
The two officials discussed the implementation of a memorandum on
understanding, signed at the second session of the joint Croatian-
Iranian committee for economic, trade and scientific and
technological cooperation on 9 April 1997.
They agreed that financial institutions of both countries should
intensify their efforts aimed at removing technical obstacles to
the financing of and giving guarantees for industrial projects,
especially those in shipbuilding industry, construction of train
engines etc.
Minister Porges and his guest also agreed that the third session of
the joint committee should be held in April 1998 in Tehran.
Minister Porges is to co-chair the session.
