ZAGREB, 15 Dec (Hina) - Provocations and harassment of Serbs as well
as the throwing of explosive devices on Serb houses is increasing in
the Croatian Danube river region, said the President of the Serb
Democratic Forum (SDF), Veljko Dzakula, on Monday.
Because of that, the number of local Serbs leaving the area was
increasing, he added.
"However, the most efficient way of intimidating Serb citizens are
lists with the names of war crimes indictees, which have started to
circulate in the Danube river region again," Dzakula told
reporters.
He expressed doubt that a visit by Assistant Interior Minister
Josko Moric to the area could improve the situation.
An SDF delegation met with Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Human Rights Day and informed him about the problems of return of
refugees and violations of human rights, Dzakula said.
Serb property in other parts of Croatia, such as Vojnic, Plasko,
Glina, Vrginmost and Petrinja, had not been returned to their
owners, he said.
