GOSPIC, Dec 11 (Hina) - According to the Croatian Government's
Office for Displaced Persons and Refugees, 566 people of Serb
nationality have returned to the Lika-Senj County so far.
The Serbs left their homes following the Croatian military
operations "Flash" and "Storm" in 1995 and went to the Croatian
Danube river region.
Four hundred and twenty five people returned on the basis of return
certificates, while 141 people did not have the certificates. The
most number of Serbs returned to the areas of Donji Lapac (269) and
Korenica (197).
In the Croatian Danube region up to now there are registered 1224
families with 2400 members who left the Lika-Senj County.
Out of these, 739 families with 1658 members asked the government's
Office for Displaced Persons and Refugees to return.
