BILJE, Dec 11 (Hina) - Refugees from the Croatian Danube river area
on Thursday received 12 family homes in Bilje. These houses had
suffered great damage were reconstructed by the Ministry of
Reconstruction and Development.
Commenting on the fact that some returnees signed records of
takeover for the houses even though all works had not been finished,
head of the Ministry's Section for Reconstruction of Family Homes,
Zeljko Uhlir, said the records contained what the work contractors
were still obliged to do.
He added that supervising services were following the progress of
reconstruction so that not one single home would be left
unfinished.
About 270 homes need to be reconstructed in Bilje. Tomislav Hrkac,
the director of "Bet-Con", which is organising reconstruction
works, assessed that by the end of the year all houses approved for
renewal up to 17 December could be reconstructed.
