PRESIDENT TUDJMAN RECEIVES JURE RADIC AND MARIJA KASTELAN-MACAN ( Editorial: --> 2937 )

( Editorial: --> 2937 ) ZAGREB, Nov 22 (Hina)- Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Saturday received Minister of Development and Reconstruction, Jure Radic, and Mrs. Marija Kastelan-Macan on occasion of publishing the book "Vukovar - The Challenge of Reconstruction", the President's office said in a statement. The ministry of development and reconstruction has published the book and Mrs. Kastelan-Macan is its editor. The purpose of the book is to present Vukovar's history, data on war damage, and what has been done so far in the reconstruction of this eastern Croatian town, in which all Croatian counties are taking part. Tudjman said that following the full restoration of Croatian rule in Vukovar, main tasks would be to reconstruct the war-affected town, normalise life and revitalise the economy. He added that the help of the Croatian Diaspora as well as bigger investments of the international community were expected in that. Present at the meeting were the President's deputy chief-of-staff, Vesna Skare-Ozbolt and the head of the President's cabinet, Goran Radin. (hina) mš 221450 MET nov 97
