PRISTINA, Dec 10 (Hina) - The Pristina District Court today ended
the trial of 19 Kosovo Albanians, who the Serbian authorities
accused of terrorism and belonging to an organisation which calls
itself the Liberation Army of Kosovo.
In the past four main hearings the defence case was put forward by 23
lawyers, who refuted the charges, emphasising how during the trial
it was not proven the accused were guilty and that the charges were
argued without facts.
Lawyers asked for the accused Albanians to be set free.
Seventeen of the accused who sat on the defence bench - two escaped
custody - today rejected the alleged charges as unfounded.
A verdict on the 19 Kosovo Albanians will be delivered on Tuesday,
December 16.
