ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Education and Sports
Minister Rudolf Vouk and Director of the Trieste University
Alessandro Rossit on Saturday signed a Letter of Intentions on the
construction of an Italian-language high school in Pula (Croatian
north Adriatic).
The construction of the school will cost between 15 and 18 million
kuna, it will be financed by Italy and Croatia in equal parts and
will be attended by about 1,000 students, Vouk said.
The laying of the foundation stone is scheduled for 17 December,
during the visit of Italian President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro to
Croatia.
The signing of the Letter of Intent is very significant, and the
credit should be assigned to the Italian Ambassador to Croatia,
Francesco Olivieri, because an agreement has finally been reached
on the construction of an Italian-language high school in Pula,
Rossit stressed.
Present at the signing ceremony were the Italian Ambassador to
Croatia, Francesco Olivieri, head of the Istrian County Education
Office, Mate Krizman, and a member of the Croatian Parliament,
Furio Radin.
