VARAZDIN, 5 Dec (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Friday
opened the new plant for finishing operations and packaging of
chicken meat in the food processing company 'Koka' in Varazdin,
some 60 km north of Zagreb.
"After the successful financial reorganisation of 'Koka', which
was facing bankruptcy two and a half years ago, this is the basic
investment which will considerably contribute to the quality of
production and competitiveness of 'Koka' on the domestic and
foreign markets," said Dragutin Drk, president of the company's
managing board and director of the company 'Vindija', which is
carrying out the successful financial reorganisation of 'Koka'.
Premier Matesa said the successful recovery of 'Koka', in which the
Government participated as well, was an example for other companies
which are facing problems.
