SARAJEVO, Nov 28 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa
described as exceptionally useful talks him and Foreign Minister
Mate Granic held with high ranking officials of Bosnia-Herzegovina
in Sarajevo on Friday.
The talks attended by the chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina
Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, Presidency member Kresimir Zubak,
co-chairman of the Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdzic, and
deputy-president of the Bosnian federation, Ejup Ganic, passed in a
very good atmosphere and concerned overall relations between
Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia and the Bosnian
Federation, Matesa said.
"We tackled problems which occur sporadically, as well as the
Croatian draft document on special relations," Matesa told
reporters.
He stressed that Izetbegovic had been explained the motives which
led the Croatian side to draw up the draft agreement, and which
originate from interests established by the Washington and Dayton
agreements.
"Talks on the draft agreement will continue very soon," Matesa
said, stressing that it was necessary to strengthen mutual
interests in these talks.
According to Granic, the most important result of the talks held in
Sarajevo on Friday was the conclusion that the talks on the issues
be continued immediately.
Representatives of the two countries' foreign ministries will hold
negotiations aimed at adjusting the text of the agreement on the
establishment of the Council for Inter-state Cooperation between
Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Granic said.
"After the Bosnian Federation authorities express their views on
the agreement on special relations, talks will continue between
Croatia and the Bosnian Federation about the agreement on special
relations," Granic said.
