TRAVNIK, Nov 29 (Hina) - Deputy international High Representative
for Bosnia German Ambassador Hanns Schumacher on Saturday visited
the Central Bosnia Canton.
He held talks with prefect Ivan Saric and supported a plan on the
return of displaced persons and refugees to the Canton in which
Croats and Bosniaks (Muslims) share authority according to the pre-
war national composition.
Saric and Schumacher pointed out the pre-war national composition
must not be violated.
The German Ambassador said he understood the Bosnian Croats'
concern over incidents and murders of returnees, especially now
that Croats were in the minority in the Canton.
The depoliticizing of the police and the establishment of new
municipal authorities were the cornerstones of the Canton's
further development.
