BUGOJNO, Nov 14 (Hina) - The association of families of missing
Croats from the Bugojno area of central Bosnia on Friday sent an
open letter to the head of the Mostar regional office of the
international high representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Martin
Garrod, demanding the truth about the Croats taken away in an
unknown direction from a detention camp in Bugojno in 1993
following the Moslem-Croat conflict.
The letter said that Garrod had served as EU mission chief in Zenica
during the Moslem-Croat conflict in central Bosnia and that he had
managed to visit the prisoners in the Stadion camp in Bugojno before
the arrival of representatives of the International Committee of
the Red Cross.
"He knows the truth about the fate of the prisoners who were taken
away, but is concealing it," the letter said, adding that it was
unclear why Garrod was silent on this problem.
