ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - Representatives of the Bosnian government's
Investment Guarantee Agency on Tuesday held a lecture in Zagreb on
guarantees from war and political risks to foreign companies and
banks financing investment in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Bosnian government established the Agency more than a year ago,
in cooperation with the World Bank.
According to marketing director Mirsad Mesinovic, the Agency had
been established with the aim to provide conditions which would
guarantee safe business conditions to foreign investors, without
risk of war, and to attract investors into Bosnia, a "high risk
country".
The Agency's deputy general director, Vlatko Tvrtkovic, said the
World Bank had invested 16 million German marks in the Agency, whose
capital amounted to about 40 million German marks.
With assistance from the international community, the Agency was
preparing new laws on Bosnia's economy which should be adopted
early next year, Tvrtkovic said.
