SARAJEVO, Nov 21 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina and Yugoslavia should
establish diplomatic relations by the end of this year, Bosnian
Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic told reporters Friday.
A gentlemanly agreement has been reached for diplomatic relations
between Sarajevo and Belgrade to be established through the
exchange of ambassadors in order to avoid earlier conditioning,
Prlic said after a Bosnian Presidency meeting which discussed the
matter.
Until now, the Yugoslav government agreed to the exchange of
ambassadors, but conditioned the establishment of diplomatic
relations by demanding that Bosnia renounce its charges, filed with
the International Court of Justice, against the Yugoslav
government for the aggression against Bosnia.
Prlic announced that a letter on the appointment of the first
ambassador to Yugoslavia would be forwarded to Belgrade by the
year's end.
In line with an agreement among members of the Bosnian Presidency,
the ambassador in Belgrade will be appointed by the Bosnian Croat
side.
