VUKOVAR COUNTY LEADERSHIP DISCUSSES ECONOMIC RECONSTRUCTION

( Editorial: --> 3311 ) VINKOVCI, 24 Nov (Hina) - The leadership of Vukovar County held a session in Vinkovci on Monday, at which it was decided that special attention would be paid to the development of economic infrastructure and entrepreneurship. One of the conclusions of today's session was also that conditions had to be created for the return of competent employees, without whom there can be no reconstruction in the U.N.-administered part of Vukovar County. The reintegration of 21 trade associations in the UN-administered part of the county has been completed. It is to be followed by the revival of production, the assessment of the associations' property and their privatisation. Vukovar County authorities asked all directors and other employees to adhere to the eight-hour working schedule in their companies in the Danube river region. Despite the fact that they had the highest losses in the past period, agriculture and forestry remain to be the county's most important resources.
