OSIJEK, Nov 1 (Hina) - Displaced persons on Saturday visited
cemeteries in Erdut, Dalj, Ernestinovo, Laslovo and Tenja, in the
eastern Osijek-Baranja County under the UN Transitional
Administration for All Saints' Day. The visit was organised, and
the displaced persons arrived in 38 busses.
About 500 displaced persons gathered at the local cemetery in
Ernestinovo. The same number of displaced Croats and Hungarians
visited the cemetery in Laslovo, a village almost completely
devastated.
The cemeteries in Sarvas and Aljmas did not find themselves on the
UNTAES list of visits, but displaced persons visited these two
cemeteries none the less, driven in regular busses.
All Saints' Day was celebrated in other places in Croatia, as well.
Representatives of political parties laid wreaths on the graves of
prominent persons from party history and work in Croatia.
