OSIJEK, Oct 27 (Hina) - Croatian displaced people will be able to
visit 84 cemeteries in the Danube area under the UN transitional
Administration (UNTAES)on All Saints' Day (November 1).
It is planned that visits will take two hours and will be in the
period from 10.00 am to 03.00 pm on that day, while mayors and heads
of towns and municipalities will determine the exact time
schedule.
The head of the association of the displaced from Osijek-Baranja
County, Tomo Povreslo, informed the exiled people that UNTAES did
not recommend the visit to the county's 12 cemeteries where mines
are still planted.
Busses of the regional office for the displaced and refugees will
transport visitors to cemeteries, and the visits have been
organised by the county's centre for the return, local authorities
in the UNTAES-controlled Croatian area and UNTAES.
Povreslo called on the displaced to mark the forthcoming All
Saints' Day in dignity and with no incident.
