VUKOVAR, Nov 1 (Hina) - Although the Un Transitional Asministration
for Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem (UNTAES) had
stipulated that all vehicles in the Croatian Danube river region of
eastern Croatia were to have Croatian license plates as of November
1, there is still a large number of vehicles that have either
invalid license plates or none at all.
Members of the UNTAES and Transitional Police force (TPF) said they
believed that all vehicles would have Croatian license plates
within the next several days.
Very few vehicles had had Croatian license plates a day ago, now
three quarters of vehicles have them, they said.
About a half of vehicles on the streets of Vukovar had Croatian
license plates on Saturday.
