FRANKFURT, Oct 17 (Hina) - Books of the Croatian lexicographic
house "Miroslav Krleza" and "AGM" publishing house were presented
at the Book Fair in Frankfurt on Thursday.
A presentation was held of the translation of Croatian
literature to other languages of the "Erasmus" publishers'
products and of the "Most" magazine of the Croatian Writers'
Society.
The Croatian stand was visited by Croatian Culture
Minister Bozo Biskupic, who presented a representative art
monograph by Matko Trebotic, which has been translated to German
and English, published by the AGM.
This publishing company also presented the first edition of
the book "Croatia and Europe: Culture, Art and Science", with the
cooperation of the Croatian Science and Arts Academy.
The purpose of this work, also translated to English and
French, is to relay to the world the scientific truth about
Croatia as it had been in the first days of its creation, its
early statehood, as well as its accession to the West European
civilisation.
Some other works of Croatian publishing companies are to be
presented at the fair on Friday, including the compilation of
lyrics from the Croatian war of independence "In This Fateful
Hour", compiled by Ivo Sanader and Ante Stamac.
The central event was a discussion on the scientific and
political thought in the works of Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman, which is to be held under the headline "National
Sovereignty - Historic Task of Our Time".
