FRANKFURT, Oct 16 (Hina) - On Thursday, "Atlas of Europe" of the
Croatian lexicographic institute "Miroslav Krleza" was presented at
Croatia's exhibition stand at the Frankfurt book fair.
After the presentation, a round-table discussion was held on
translation of Croatian literary works into foreign languages.
Drazen Katunaric, the editor of the "The Bridge" magazine of
the Croatian writers' society, pointed to the purpose of this paper
which offers information about Croatian literature in German and
English in order to make foreign readers more interested in Croatian
literature.
An eminent Slavist, Manfred Jehenichen, of Humboldt University
in Berlin, announced a project of translating an anthology of about
70 Croatian poets' works, selected by Slavko Mihalic, and added that
some contemporary German writers would participate in the project as
well.
