"AMBIENTA" INTERNATIONAL FAIR OPENS IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB, Oct (Hina) - Croatian Agriculture and Forestry Minister Zlatko Dominikovic opened the 24th International Furniture, Interior Design and Supporting Industries Fair "Ambienta" at the Zagreb Fair on Wednesday. The fair will be open five days. Exhibiting are 458 exhibitors, half of whom are foreigners from 23 countries. The fair displays furniture, equipment, machinery and primary material and manufacturing components for the wood industry, as well as wood products. General director of the Zagreb Fair, Jurica Pavelic, stressed that "Ambienta" gathered 11% more exhibitors in comparison to last year. He said a Business Club was taking place Wednesday, at which government representatives would hold talks with business people in the wood processing industry about the situation and current problems in this branch of industry. Dominikovic said "Ambienta" was particularly important because of the fact that it had taken place even during the most difficult years of war, adding that all that time, the fair had maintained its international trait.
